We want children to have fun learning new things, which is why we feel passionate about letting kids play with toys that will teach them about maths and science. Our STEM and STEAM toys and kits are fun yet educational, and they allow your child to learn new skills through play.
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, and STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. The philosophy of letting children play with STEM and STEAM games isn’t new, but it has become a more mainstream concept in the last few years, with both children and parents taking an interest in the idea.
Why is STEM important? STEM education is all about teaching skills that we need in our daily lives rather than teaching discipline and rules. The most important subjects are combined together to make a well-rounded subject in itself rather than teaching each subject separately, which is more applicable in the real world.
STEAM is different from STEM as it also includes creativity and arts in the way the children think about the topic. For example, Architecture is scientific and mathematical, but thinking creatively and artistically is just as important.
Our goal is to give children the tools they need in life through a well-rounded education and to enjoy themselves along the way.
You might be familiar with the National Center for Educational Achievement (NCEA), which was formerly a department of ACT. You will notice that the use of NCEA/ACT website and name will no longer be in use over time. You might be wondering what this means for you? Well, this means that you will see a lot of connection between our page and just4kids.org as we strive to give children the opportunity to get involved with STEAM/STEM education.
