After reading this article about NASA space suits and verifying its accuracy, I drafted a letter to NASA that you may be interested in.

This letter is a petition for NASA to reconsider their inventory of space suits used to take space walks.   The limited availability of small suits prevents women from the equal opportunity to walk in space.   NASA is sending a message of inequity; the equipment was not purchased that was accessible for all astronauts.   This letter urges NASA to not only change its current wardrobe for astronauts, but consider how it embraces women in its future programs in an equitable way.

Let's together issue a challenge to NASA about the way its missions include women.

Best,

Executive Director, Girls, Math & Science Partnership
